What is "BOS"?
The BOS is an outreach program which connects Federal acquisition and program officers with small businesses.  BOS activities stimulate small business participation in Department of Energy (DOE) contract and other mission-supporting opportunities.

How does it work?

On a recurring basis, BOS sessions are held at DOE Headquarters (Washington, DC).  The BOS generally consists of:

  • Overview on “How to do Business with DOE”
  • Overview of targeted program offices in relation to their mission, as well as current and upcoming contract opportunities
  • Updates on DOE in relation to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA)
  • Network Opportunities
  • One-on-One Matchmaking Sessions

Who Benefits?

Everyone – Small businesses learn about DOE and how to do business with the agency, and program representatives meet with capable small businesses interested in fulfilling DOE requirements.

How To Participate
Request an invitation – Contact Kent Hibben, Small Business Specialist/BOS Coordinator by e-mail at kent.hibben@hq.doe.gov.
